Second Apartment adventure, question about renters history?

Ok, so I am about to move into my own apartment pretty soon, for the second time. The first attempt was a cluster-f**k like I have never seen in my life. I moved into this place a while back, about 5 months ago and the people that managed the utilities up there were ridiculous- I could never get ahold of them, they overcharged me, had one single guy managing the water for this entire little community and even when I did get ahold of him and pay my deposit they did not hook up my water. The Electric company was only slightly better in the fact that I did manage to get it turned on at last. But the water guy continued to send me bills, even though I had used exactly none of his services whatsoever. My propane tank was busted, had a missing part so I couldn't get heat either. After a month or two of living like a cave man in a deep freeze, I got fed up and left, in full "screw it" mode, even though I had a few months left on my lease. The guy I was renting from never pursued it, presumably since I bought him new plumbing after the old froze and busted. My question then is when I try to rent this new place, is there any way for them to check out my less than stellar history of renting? I know I wasn't exactly professional with what i did. I have learned my lesson- namely don't rent anywhere in hick a** Show Low, Arizona unless you have a lot of patience and money.

Am i selfish for not wanting my mom to date?

My Mom is 47 and is going through that "i gotta live my life" phase. Shes been a single mom since I was born which is almost 18 years ago. My dad is useless and he made my mom feel like crap. He treats me bad to. Because of him and stories that my mom has told me about past boyfriends I do not trust men at all. Lately she has been going out and not coming home. Why is there toilet paper in my sump pump basin?

My sump pump recently broke I opened up the basin and it was full of this white material. As I was cleaning it out i realized it was toilet paper. We recently had a toilet put in our basement. The pipes and everything had been there since we moved in about 8 years ago, but we just only recently decided to put a toilet. Now the pump turns on but won't run. (I am now thinking it is clogged with toilet paper). There is also fecal matter and whatever else runs through that toilet. I'm not a handy man nor plumber nor do I know about sewage systems but i feel like this definitely shouldn't be happening.

My little sister is so scared to death of Hitler she can't even go outside. She is afraid Hitler will be outside even though we've tried to tell her that he's been dead a long time. Yes, there should always be a need for handymen. But, handymen are typically self employed meaning no company benefits such as health insurance, a retirement plan, paid vacations, etc. Of your other choices, construction, electrician, plumber, and carpenter are tied to the new construction industry and at times, like now, there is very little work to be found. Personally, I still like electrician because it is clean work without a lot of heavy back straining type work. And, even during slow construction times like now, an enterprising electrician can find remodel and repair work if he or she works at it. Another growing and reliable field is refrigeration repair, and HVAC, (heating, ventilating and cooling). You are smart to be thinking ahead while many of your peers cannot think past the fun they might have today or tomorrow. Young people with a plan are twice as likely to be successful than those without one.

Trouble shooting my gurgling sink and tub on upper level bathroom?

My bathroom sink gurgles after I run water down it. It is a pedestal sink. previously I used to be able to snake up the vent pipe and it would solve the problem for a few months. This time, it is more difficult. I've run water down the stack from the roof (maybe it wasn't enough water-it was only for about 3-5 minutes). The snake method used to work, but it is such a tight area (the sink is in an area shaped lik a 'U' so it is a snug fit, so it is difficult to work behind the sink as it is a snug fit, and snaking it is always a challenge, because it is a lot of work getting the snake up the pipe. I think it may be because of the joints leading up to the roof, or possible clogs, it is hard to say, but a challenge to snake regardless; also the tub will also gurgle occassioanlly, and it seems that the gurgling is lasting longer then it used to. Any chance it could be a blockage leading down to the septic (which is pumped regularly-so it's not the septic) if so how could I get to that blockage, I'm still new to the house, and am not familiar with plumbing. Any ideas?? thanks

I live in an apartment complex in TN. I recently had surgery and ALWAYS make sure I lock my front door when my partner is at work. I wouldn't be able to fend off an intruder if need be. Anyway, this past Saturday after my partner left, I locked the front door and jumped in the shower. Ten minutes later, I heard a VERY loud banging sound right before I got out. I put on a towel and walked into my living room. The very first thing I did was check the front door, which I found to be unlocked. I then proceeded to look out of my windows to see my maintenance man, running like a madman to his truck. He got in, then took off like a bat out of hell. I locked the door again and called the office. I didn't get anyone directly, so I went down there. The associate who was there said she did receive a plumbing work-order for apt 305 and he could have gotten the numbers mixed up, despite working here for the past 20 years. I've worked in property management and said I can totally understand that. I then asked her what type of problem 305 was having. She said 305 didn't have any water pressure, that the maintenance man was POSSIBLY checking my unit to see if this was the cause of the problem OR, that he was "looking for something else." Thinking this was odd, seeing as 305 isn't on my side of the building, I said okay, I just wanted to make sure he just wasn't coming in just because. She then said, he always knocks and announces himself before coming in and never enters without your permission, or if you are not there. Okay, but that is exactly what happened. I didn't answer my door or give him permission to enter and he did anyway, while I was in the shower. 305 is WAY down the hall and is directly across from 306. Wouldn't it have been a little more logical to check the closest units first, instead of one that is 3 units down? If this WAS the case, why did he slam my door, leave it unlocked, speed off in his truck, rather than waiting outside my door for a couple of minutes and then re-knocking, to check my unit? There are over 250 units in my complex, split between 7 buildings and he just decided to check mine just because? That and he was possibly looking for something else? Like what? I'm not buying it. This isn't the first time I've come home to an unlocked door, while everything in my apartment is either on, or things were thrown around, but never taken. They said they can change my locks, but what good is that when maintenance would have a key? My mom said to put a chain latch on the inside to use when I was inside, but that wouldn't keep anyone from coming in while I'm gone. I looked into tenant privacy laws in TN, while no specified times are listed, it did say the landlord or other persons cannot enter without permission, unless it is an emergency situation or at the minimum a 24 hour written notice. Fire, severe water leak, extermination, etc. What do you think? This definitely seems illegal to me. What would be the best way to prevent this from happening? Worst case scenario, I'll have to pay almost $600+ to break my lease early. I've lived here for a little over two months.

Plumbing problem in co-op apartment - what legal recourse do I have?

Is this a well pump or a hot water heater problem?

We had a big storm down south today. The "regulator" (I believe it is called) has been making the well pump cut on and off frequently as of late. This evening we had water gushing out of the hot water heater onto our floor. We cut off the well pump power and I switched off the hot water pump switch as well. I am afraid if I turn the well pump and hot water heater back on we will have all kinds of water gushing out again. I do not have the money to contact a plumber or electrician. Is the problem the well pump, the hot water heater, or now both?

I just think its ironic that he's always chastising young kids for being on drugs when he really looks like he's on heavy steroids. My trainer at the gym says hes def on the juice. Advertising, if your potential customers do not know that you are there they will just find someone that they know about, once you are known, undercut your competitors on price and if you do a good job, your customer will recommend you to anyone that heeds plumbing done, of course if you over charge and/or do not do a good job, the opposite will happen, business cards through doors is a good idea because people tend to keep hold of these in case they need a plumber and they can be made cheaply but you must state on them that you will do all jobs at a reasonable rate..

She is 14 and she says that Adolf Hitler's ghost is in the city plumbing and she refuses to leave her house. When she is at home she keeps bricks and chains on the toilet seats and on the washing machine. She keeps all the sinks and bathtub drains plugged up and will only take baths not showers so she can keep the plug on the hole. She won't even use the hand shower because she thinks he could come out of it. She only drinks bottled water because she thinks tap water has Hitler in it. She went to four of the psychologists but it did not help.

Why don't I have hot water more than 2 minutes?

I'm puzzled. I have an electric water heater. (meaning no pilot light that would go out) It's 7 years old, we just had both thermostats replaced about 2 months ago. For about a week now I only have about 2 minutes of hot water in my shower and bath. I haven't really tried the rest of the house because I wash my clothes in cold water and use a dishwasher to wash my dishes. The bathroom sink water is hot through out the day when I wash my hands but that's only a small amount of water being used, nothing like a shower or bath. I turned up my hot water heater thinking that could have been the problem and while the water is hotter, the hot water still doesn't last more than a couple of minutes. I'm not sure what the problem could be.(all my utility bills are current for those of you who say "pay your electric or water bill") I'm hoping the hot water tank doesn't need to be replaced already, it's serviced regularly and appears to be in good working order. (I know the apperance probably doesn't mean much) I thought maybe someone on here might know what the problem is before I call a plumber. Thanks so much for your time. Calling all plumbers?

I've tried everything short of calling a professional and I can't get my tub to drain. It does, sort of, it's just really really slow. I'm not sure who put the pipes in our house but the drain from the washer, the bath tub and the bathroom sink all connect to the same two foot section of pipe. The sink seems to be draining fine but it could just be flowing into the length of pipe from the sink to where it connects to the bigger pipe. The washer is backing up into the tub and the tub is just not draining. I've tried using a wire to clean out the pipe but the best drain to try it in is the tubs, and its really difficult. I've tried using liquid plumber but that doesn't seem to have worked. I've even tried crazy online remedies but that hasn't done anything either. I can't afford to have someone come look at it and I don't want to have to replace the pipes. What can I do?

Why do people "accidentally" have babies all the time?

i remember back in my parents time when two people had a child it was on purpose and they started a family. but now adays i keep hearing about two people having a child, the man walks out and the woman struggles to support her child. im not saying all the time but look at maury, thats all ya see on that show. now the difference between now and back then is that theres more contraception nowadays. i mean a condom is only a dollar and their found at like a million stores and even in gas stations. and sometiimes parents who have a child by "Accident" dont show the child any love, so the child grows up with bad influences and sometimes the pattern happens all over again. all i gotta say is that if people dont want kids THEN WHY NOT WEAR A CONDOM? it cost only 1 dollar,takes 10 seconds to put on and are found in almost every store and gas station WHATS THE PROBLEM?

They say one of the hardest things in life is watching the person you love, love someone else. But, the hardest thing in my life is watching the person I love, love me back. Yes, that is basically a craving of everyone since they say humans would simply like to be either love or be loved. But for me why is it so . . . different? The one who loves me is the one I love back. But who will ever know? No one will ever know. As I’m trying to, keep it a secret in order to protect the reputation of mine. I have a fear of Adolf Hitler. It started with a dream that he was in the neighborhood plumbing and he was going to get in my house and get me. It's natural to feel these things sometimes, we tend to see the many faults of our family, I'm guilty of it myself. I've been really angry about the way my parents did things, raising me so sheltered and protected. But our anger blinds us to the truth sometimes. I had a talk with my family, and got their perspectives, and realized things aren't so simple, I learned so many things about them I never knew. So my suggestion is to openly have a deep discussion with them. Remember to stand your ground because your views are important too, but don't get too overly defensive and listen to their side of things too. Can someone help me with my landlord? She is a nightmare!?

My ex landlord is refusing to give me back my deposit. When I moved into the house I offered her to come and mark down any damages she saw before i moved in. she said that wasn't necessary. I did this because I redid the hardwood floors. I also did all the cleaning and painting before moving in. Was freezing cold outside but she wouldn't allow me to turn heat on because heat was still in her name. I could smell musty moldy in the basement. when I was in the basement cleaning it felt like something was growing in my throat. the landlord said that is because the house had been empty for a while. every time it rained basement flooded BAD. she didn't fix that. Window in basement had NO window in it. In winter my house was 60 degrees when heat was set at 72. (in the one room directly above the window with no window). I said something to her on Mothers Day when she showed up at the house, about the window and she said it would be fixed but not for me. The next renters would have all the things that I was asking fixed fixed for them. I taped this conversation only because my husband thought I was making up on how she treated me and I was appalled that she said that to me. During winter when humidifier needed to be ran, walls would have brown stuff running from the ceiling. She said that wasn't her fault. Mold is growing on brand new windows she just put in last fall and is also growing on the ceiling in the corner of my sons bedroom and in my other sons bedroom is growing on the crease of the ceiling and wall, the last straw was the water heater. It was wet on the floor by the water heater and she knew about it for 2 months before I moved out, and she never did anything about it. She denied knowing about it, but on Mothers day I told her again, I moved out May 31st, and the water heater was still not working right. My husband spoke with her last night and asked her what was going on with our deposit and she said with all the damage that we did, she didn't think there would be a deposit. She was never in the house to see if there was any damage done before we moved in. Her daughter was the one that lived there before us. She is blaming her daughters accidents on us. I offered her to come to see the house and she said no. There was a fridge that is probably 25 years old and she is saying that we will be paying for that to because it is not working. After living there for 8 months, at her and her daughters request, she asked my husband and his company to redo the driveway because it was asphalt and they wanted cement, him being a machine operator for a large excavating company they wanted to get a good deal. She did alright. Not a dime was taken off our rent. We supplied the helpers, food, of course the beers for the guys who had to work on a Saturday for free, and not until this past year did we find out that we were charged for the re-bar and gravel for the driveway. Can someone tell me what I can do about this woman? DO I have a good case here? I should also tell you that I have video tape from when I moved and also took more video when I moved out along with pictures.. I know and learned for this that I will never live somewhere without having a lease. She said that was not necessary because me and her daughter were friends. I should have you know that I am a very clean neat orderly person. Me and my husband are what you could call the dream tenants.THe landlord said the only thing she is responsible for was the property taxes and that was it. Oh and the weekend of Mothers Day, the city sewer backed up in the basement, and she wanted us to pay for the bill to call the plumber in only to find out that it was a city problem. Then when we made a claim with our insurance for the things that we lost, she wanted to add that bill to our claim and the drywall that needs taken out because it was saturated in sewer. Maury is SO entertaining! I really don't think my close friends would ever do that, but if they did I really don't think I could stay friends with them, especially since I've been dating my boyfriend for quite a while. Okay here's the deal, we are a couple of girls that are dealing with some annoying boys that always have to comment on EVERYTHING! Like once we were at school and my friend was picking something up from the floor and got a "plumber" (I don't know how to spell it) and one of the boys took it up on video on his phone and showed it to the whole school! Is there a connected plumbing problem if both toilets in the house aren't working properly?

We have 2 bathrooms-- one upstairs, one downstairs. Recently, the toilet upstairs started running for a long time after flushing. Then, just yesterday, the toilet downstairs stopped flushing at all. The tank in the downstairs toilet is basically empty, and part of the machinery in the toilet tank is leaking water. I am wondering if these two problems are related because, for one, they happened at the same time, and for two, we have a problem with corrosion to our pipes etc. The showers have water pressure problems (lack of) because of buildup. When we replaced our water heater, the water pressure in the shower downstairs practically slowed to a standstill (still haven't had that problem fixed because they have to cut a hole in the neighboring bedroom wall to get to the plumbing to fix it). Anyway... anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Whether you'd want to be a plumber, electrician and any other trades, you need to go to school for it. Apprentices are hired through the training institutions. The training program for plumber is usually shorter as opposed to electrician's program. Companies do hire final stage apprentices for them to complete their license requirement.

What should I do about my boyfriend?

I love my boyfriend very much and I eventually want to get married and start a family with him, but he has 4 kids by 4 women and he's been traumatized by their immaturity and drama (even though he doesn't talk with any of them and we even raise his 4th child together because his mom is a deadbeat). I always tell him and proved to him and he has acknowledged that I am different these other "street rats". Yes, I think its quite normal. Maybe if you have relatives or families you know with a baby, you could ask to visit and help care for them sometimes. Or see if your school do a childcare course with the interactive baby dolls you can get that you have to take care of. This would help you to learn the responsibility involved of having to care for a baby. Either way, you would also satisfy your need to want to dress up and play with dolls or babies, and it would help the person whose baby you are helping to care for to get a break. It is a stage, and it will pass. have fun with it while it lasts and don't worry about it. You are being very sensible about making it clear that you don't want a baby yet. As much fun as they can be, they are also extremely hard work and an enormous responsibility. Being able to share that responsibility with someone who has a baby is a pretty good substitute in the mean time, and a sensible way to deal with this phase until it passes.

I have a younger sister, 24 years old, unfortunatly due to very strict parenting most of us turned out super antisocial and never ever dated a guy. Now she met this guy online and since this is her first bf she s acting as if she was more like 14 not 24. She says she s in love with him (she only met him once, they talk online everyday, I guess online long distance relationship), i told her she should only stay with him if he intends to marry her or, as I have seen before, he ll drag along and then leaver her (she is also his first gf so i m afraid he ll use her as practice gf?!). Protection Plan - Fair and Honest?

I recently had to purchase a new dishwasher, just a replacement Hotpoint one which was fine as the last one was purchased in 2005 (fair enough..). New one delivered and plumbed in by Curries (also fine..). A few days into using it, it wasn't cleaning correctly, door not clicking shut properly, guy came out fixed it and that's fine too after calling Hotpoint who refered me to Domestic & General (D&G). D&G now offer me an extended warranty which I agreed to which was �69.00 (or 12 mths @ �5.75). This was attractive to me, given that with the original dishwasher's cost of repair was almost �200 and a new one costs �300 approx., as it covered (as our statutory consumer rights do anyway) the first year - but I was tempted by the "extra 2 years..repairs and...damage...no repair bills...caused by accident". I reckoned I should take the �5.75 /month offer for the other 2 years after the first year. However, I've just received formal confirmation from them with an agreement number that talks about my standing order being �14.99 for 12 months..an extra �110.88. This isn't right in my eyes! I was under the impression on talking to the D&G people a few weeks ago that I'd be paying �69 in total over the period of a year to cover me for breakdowns/call-outs/spare parts for the following 2 years. What are D&G playing at here? Am I not in the right here. I've been looking at the OFT site and the way the law is, is designed to stitch the consumer up a bit, if you decide to cancel the agreement...I don't know how much � they're going to take from me now, if I cancel the agreement. Don't know who to complain to but I'll try consumer protection meantime. Any experts out there who can help? I'll be contacting D&G asap aswell. Is it just me or is this all looking a bit bent and crooked? Strangely too, I got a call, not long after I'd taken out the agreement from someone with an Eastern Block accent asking me if I took a warranty agreement out with Hotpoint. I asked him where he was calling from and he put the phone down!..What's all that about!

Looking at it without the filter of human compassion, I think it is our interference with natural selection, not a flaw of its reasoning. Any time you interfere you have effects on population. The ignorant have always reproduced in large numbers due to infant mortality and life expectancy. That is a selfish fact of human existence. Since we have a fairly stable food and water supply and medical technology has made most childhood diseeases a thing of the past in the western world - it is a natural consequence that numbers will increase without a natural check. But, with that said, I don't think the behavior is as genetic as it is environmental. Anyway, natural resources will put our population in check if we don't do it for ourselves, and who knows, maybe the poor and ignorant will be just clever and adaptable enough to save the species. Hahahaha.

Hi im 15 years old and i will be 16 in 19 days time, i have just finished high school and im moving on to college where i have been granted a place to train to become a plumber on a high high course for my age, considering my age this course is generally the next step up from your basics in plumbing...its an NVQ Level 2 and because i have learnt all the basics in plumbing through my dad, i was able to take part in this course. I went to the interview today and i was by far the youngest guy there, ages ranged from 18-50 so i was obviously the youngest ones. My question is, is plumbing a well paid job once qualifications are obtained and especially as im so young yet more experienced than most my age do i have the potential to be on a very high salary once i leave college? there is no chance of me messing around as everybody is matured in the class and even married therefore i will also have guidance off of older students possibly more knowledgable than me. so anyway let me know if i have a bright future if i stick to this plan and if plumbing is a well paid job, thanks.

I live in an apartment complex in TN. I recently had surgery and ALWAYS make sure I lock my front door when my partner is at work. I wouldn't be able to fend off an intruder if need be. Anyway, this past Saturday after my partner left, I locked the front door and jumped in the shower. Ten minutes later, I heard a VERY loud banging sound right before I got out. I put on a towel and walked into my living room. The very first thing I did was check the front door, which I found to be unlocked. I then proceeded to look out of my windows to see my maintenance man, running like a madman to his truck. He got in, then took off like a bat out of hell. I locked the door again and called the office. I didn't get anyone directly, so I went down there. The associate who was there said she did receive a plumbing work-order for apt 305 and he could have gotten the numbers mixed up, despite working here for the past 20 years. I've worked in property management and said I can totally understand that. I then asked her what type of problem 305 was having. She said 305 didn't have any water pressure, that the maintenance man was POSSIBLY checking my unit to see if this was the cause of the problem OR, that he was "looking for something else." Thinking this was odd, seeing as 305 isn't on my side of the building, I said okay, I just wanted to make sure he just wasn't coming in just because. She then said, he always knocks and announces himself before coming in and never enters without your permission, or if you are not there. Okay, but that is exactly what happened. I didn't answer my door or give him permission to enter and he did anyway, while I was in the shower. 305 is WAY down the hall and is directly across from 306. Wouldn't it have been a little more logical to check the closest units first, instead of one that is 3 units down? If this WAS the case, why did he slam my door, leave it unlocked, speed off in his truck, rather than waiting outside my door for a couple of minutes and then re-knocking, to check my unit? There are over 250 units in my complex, split between 7 buildings and he just decided to check mine just because? That and he was possibly looking for something else? Like what? I'm not buying it. This isn't the first time I've come home to an unlocked door, while everything in my apartment is either on, or things were thrown around, but never taken. They said they can change my locks, but what good is that when maintenance would have a key? My mom said to put a chain latch on the inside to use when I was inside, but that wouldn't keep anyone from coming in while I'm gone. I looked into tenant privacy laws in TN, while no specified times are listed, it did say the landlord or other persons cannot enter without permission, unless it is an emergency situation or at the minimum a 24 hour written notice. Fire, severe water leak, extermination, etc. What do you think? This definitely seems illegal to me. What would be the best way to prevent this from happening? Worst case scenario, I'll have to pay almost $600+ to break my lease early. I've lived here for a little over two months.

Should i give my dishwasher and refrigerator their own supply lines?

I am an owner builder and I am currently working on plumbing for my house. I have taken a class at a community college so I kinda know what I am doing but I have run into a dilemma. What I have read in my Stanley Plumbing book is that I do not need to give my refrigerator or my dishwasher their own water supply lines but rather can branch off the sink supply lines assuming I am only installing one sink, dishwasher and refrigerator in the kitchen (which I am). My question is: "Is that the best way to go?" I am worried that this may result in low water pressure in my sink when either the ice maker or the dishwasher is running. Also the fridge will probably have its own water dispenser too and i my book said nothing about fridges with water dispensers. Is it legal for a landlord to do this?...?

My family and I rent a home. Our landlord comes over almost every weekend to do "maintenance". The problem is, they get here and maybe put up a few boards and that's all they do in about 9 to 10 hours. They argue and scream and it's very disturbing. If I go out in the back, she comes over and runs her boyfriend down to me and talks about things that I feel are none of my business. He drinks a 12 pack or more of beer and I don't like that...we don't drink. We have expressed our concerns about things that need to be done inside the home but she says she forgets. She came in and did an inspection and went through our pantry, fridge, closets...made me angry. She even changed the temperature on the central heat and air. We have had plumbing problems for a LONG time and she won't have it repaired properly. Yeah, she keeps promising. The night my mom died, we asked her to not come over the next day. She called me the next day screaming at me because I asked her to not come over. The very next day, when we were getting ready for church, she showed up and told us we could leave but we had to leave the house unlocked. Sadly, I just went to church alone and my husband stayed home. She got here that day about 8 am and didn't leave until around 9 pm. I'd like to know if there is something I can do or say to her that won't cause her to evict us. We can't afford anything else but she needs to know her place and stop invading our space every weekend. They use our water and electricity and will not reimburse us for it. Also, she has her radio blaring. Hopefully there is an attorney out there that will see this and help us.

My house was built in 1955 in New Carlisle, OH. It is a 3 bedroom ranch with all of the plumbing in one location. I've dug a little bit and can't find the drain. and worse still, I can not find a cleanout. When were the codes requiring them introduced? Is it possible that I don't have one? I'm sure I just haven't dug deep enough to hit the pipe but wouldn't I have hit the cleanout already even if it was buried? Any ideas?

I think she might be schizophrenic or delusional. She has a fear of Adolf Hitler being stuck in the neighborhood plumbing. It started with this weird dream she had and now she's terrified to the point of disability. She says he can come up through the toilets and drains like those boa snakes do. She keeps bricks and chains on the toilets and the washer and she makes me drain her bath while she hides in a closet. She won't leave the house and I'm afraid I'll have to homeschool her when school starts again in September if she doesn't get over this. I took her to a psychologist but it didn't help and our insurance will only pay for one session a month and I can't afford to pay for it.

They say one of the hardest things in life is watching the person you love, love someone else. But, the hardest thing in my life is watching the person I love, love me back. Yes, that is basically a craving of everyone since they say humans would simply like to be either love or be loved. But for me why is it so . . . different? The one who loves me is the one I love back. But who will ever know? No one will ever know. As I’m trying to, keep it a secret in order to protect the reputation of mine. I think to myself that by admitting I’m in love with a less fortunate, unattractive, unimportant, brainless, anti-social human being who loves me back I’m ruining the portrayal of myself. I think and think. Is that what I want? Would I rather be with the one I love and dismiss my reputation as it is or keep my thoughts to myself and be forever unhappy with myself? As time goes by my thoughts are raging. When you don’t know what to do all you can do is wonder until you can make the decision. It may take days, weeks, months, or even years but this decision can and will change my life as I know it. My problem is not that I can’t make a decision but the society of today is forcing me to choose reputation over love. Its sad thing but what is one little person like me to do? Nothing but decided which one is more important to me. Obviously, love but also, reputation. I’m just a small and confused person living in a big and confusing world. Now that I’m growing up, things are becoming much clearer. My thoughts are not as crazy. I’m focused on my aspirations of my life and not anyone else’s. My previous thoughts were so shallow and disgusting. Knowing this, I’m 100% positive what I want to do. I want to admit to the world who I love. I love a less fortunate, unattractive, unimportant, brainless, anti-social human being who loves me back so I believe. But now, I’m ready to expose my true love to the world, and especially to the one I love. I go and I’m excited and I’m ready but it’s too late. Free verse. A sonnet has a specific meter and every other line rhymes...at least in elizabethan sonnets. It would also have a couplet at the end if it were a sonnet. Either way, this is definitely free verse because it has little to no "structure" or consistancy.

Well the cost is totally gonna depend on your choices, however you will most likely go well over $10,000, If you are not careful the kitchen and two bathrooms will be more than that, and that is with the absolute cheapest appliances, floor covering, paint, light fixtures, etc. New roof will be close to that if not a lot more. Its really funny every time I hear people say that illegals do jobs that Americans don,t want to do. My sink faucet continues to drip even after the water valves to the sink have been shut off. Help, please!?

It's a two-handled sink faucet. It's been leaking for about a month now. It's a very slow drip, but still a problem. I've already examined and cleaned the spout of the faucet. Even after I shut off the hot and cold water valves to the sink, the water still continues to drip. Turning the handles to drain the pipes of leftover water and shutting them off again, the faucet still continues to drip. I do not want to have to pay a plumber to fix this problem, but I have no idea what the problem could be. Help, please!

How do you help a child who is so afraid of Adolf Hitler's ghost that she won't leave her house?

She is 14 and she says that Adolf Hitler's ghost is in the city plumbing and she refuses to leave her house. When she is at home she keeps bricks and chains on the toilet seats and on the washing machine. She keeps all the sinks and bathtub drains plugged up and will only take baths not showers so she can keep the plug on the hole. She won't even use the hand shower because she thinks he could come out of it. She only drinks bottled water because she thinks tap water has Hitler in it. She went to four of the psychologists but it did not help.

I put a bid and deposit on a house that failed inspection. The owners offered to fix the problems (Worn out roof,old plumbing,and electrical)but I have already found a house that is ready to move in to.I was told my my RA that I have to let them fix the problem,but I just do not want the house.I was also told that I can not get out of the agreement,nor can I get my deposit back.Is there anything that I can do to get out of this nightmare.Can they really hold on to my deposit and make me stay in a contract for a house that I do not want,that has failed inspection?

For your first time, this is great! I love the background story and moral, except... Maybe you could change the 'peasy' part, because it doesn't fit in with the seriousness of the rest of the poem. How much is the cost to build an electrical system for a house?

The house I am trying to purchase does not have an electrical system or it has been obsolete. It's a house built around 1900 or 1920. It has been occupied in the late 90's though so it had to have modern systems. I'm not sure what happened to it though. Do I contact an electric provider for my city? Should I look for an independent electrician on craigslist? The house is very small; 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, around 700 square feet. It's consider a shell home. I just need the 2 necessities (electricity and plumbing) to work with it with renovation so I can get productive. Who do I call to have an electrical system installed or built for the house?

Ghost haunting my dreams? Please help?

I had a dream last night. Stella who was my great aunt's baby daddy's sister was in it. Also evella who was my mother's closest friend for 30 years was in it. Stella was saying something about a message and i told her to go to the light and of course....she didnt listen. Evella just stood there and agreed. Let it be known that these women never met and died within a year of each other. My mother loved them both very much. But she didnt go to their funerals...cause their families have enough drama to be on maury, jerry springer and dr.phil all in the same week.
