Why are women automatically accepted as the victim?

It doesn't go off like this every day like it does on Maury and usually when it does the people involved have a hell of a crappy life to begin with. Men are the villain because we're the swashbucklers and the women the fair maiden. It's how things started because women are the fairer sex. Ok, what you're saying seems right but when the smoke clears if the man isn't guilty of anything then he can say I told you so and continue on knowing he did no wrong anyhow.
