Why do people say something is bad and then explain it in so much detail?

Example like oprah show jerry springer maury they show us bad things they clearly say its bad and they show and tell u how to do it too.. There was this episode on ophrah I forget what it was about but basically she gave eople ideas on how to do these bad negative unnormal things which didnt make sence... I was reading this "articile" today on line and it was about how some kind of game is bad... It just didnt make since to me because in the article it starts talking about different types of majic and it just seemed really fishy... ur bashing something while explaining it a little too well.
